Our Mission

A Place Where Everyone Belongs

Founded in June 2004 by parents and community advocates in San Gabriel, California, FFDY was built on a simple belief: every person — regardless of ability — deserves the opportunity to grow, connect, and contribute to their community.

We serve families across Southern California — from Cerritos and Glendora to Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, and beyond — through weekly programs, seasonal celebrations, recreational outings, and parent support resources.

Our weekly classes and community events are designed to build skills, spark creativity, and foster lasting friendships in a safe and welcoming environment.

Art Class

A creative space where participants explore painting, drawing, and crafts — building fine motor skills while expressing themselves freely.

Music Class

From singing and rhythm exercises to instruments, our music program nurtures self-expression, confidence, and joyful participation.

Taekwondo

Adaptive taekwondo helps participants develop discipline, physical coordination, focus, and a strong sense of personal achievement.

Tailored programming for adult members focusing on life skills, social engagement, job readiness, and independence.

We organize field trips, community events, and partnership activities — including visits to Disneyland, Sea World, and local aquariums.
